July 4th at the pool will be a day full of fun, games and food for the entire family. Our annual hat parade will start off the event, judges will vote for the most patriotic and creative hat. Also this year we have added a new contest “Most Patriotic Family” so show your patriotic colors. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers, and there will be a DJ to play your favorite music. The concessions stand will be in full force. The Ladies Auxiliary will raffle off their Wet-n-Wild basket (8 passes to Wet-n-Wild and other goodies $500.00 value); sell snow cones and patriotic trinkets for the kids. Bring a chair from home to sit in because they get gone quickly. We will wrap up the day with our favorite “Slime the Guards and Swim Team” and the coin toss in the pool for kids and adults of all ages. The pool will close at 6:00 pm so everyone can go home and watch the fireworks.

Also new for 2009, a 4th of July King and Queen will be crowned.  All ages are eligible to enter and you can vote for only a $1.  All proceeds benefit the Elks Swim Team.

We’re still waiting on the insurance check for more chairs & tables.  PLEASE BRING AN EXTRA CHAIR and plenty of sunscreen.

We will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers (with lemonade & chips) in the shelter for $1 and will have keg beer for $1.
