This month it gives me great pleasure to let everyone know that the 1st Annual Andy Albertson Memorial Golf Tournament was a huge success. Combining funds received from the tournament with raffle ticket sales, we were able to present the family with funds that will help to meet immediate and future needs. Elks…your ability to raise funds is truly phenomenal.

Let’s put it into perspective: in less than 2 months’ time you were able to help put together a Golf Tournament that included 90 players and it went off without a hitch. You helped to bring in 19 tournament sponsors. You either bought or helped to sell 426 raffle tickets. You showed what the true Elk spirit is all about: Elks Care, Elks Share.

I would like to thank everyone personally that helped out with the effort, but I know I will miss someone because so many gave their time. Thank you to everyone that helped to plan the event. Thank you to everyone that helped bring in sponsors and sold raffle tickets. Thank you to the golfers that participated. Thank you to the ladies who helped to run registration, sell mulligans, and basically herd cats. I hope you all will join me next year when we host the 2nd Annual Tournament.

Speaking of raffle tickets – you might be interested to know that our own Patti Reece won the drawing and now has the difficult decision of where in North America to fly off to. Please congratulate her on winning such a great prize.
Summer is here and the pool is in full swing. What a great month it’s been with lots of swimming, cookouts, and volleyball. There’s never been a better time to enjoy all the amenities that the Lodge has to offer.
