Hello to everyone!!! June certainly seemed like it came and went in the blink of an eye, and a fun month we had at the Lodge. The Pool was in full swing and our House Committee did a terrific job re-opening our Lodge for our Members and guests. Your Lodge officers held the annual Flag Day Ceremony on Sunday June 14th. It really is a wonderful event if you have never seen it before. There is some interesting history about the various flags that have helped make this Country the greatest in the world. Thanks to everyone who helped, and to those who came out to see the Elks Ceremony in honor of our American Flag.

Thanks to the hard work and effort from Phil Driscoll, we were able to procure two grants from the ENF Gratitude Grant and Charitable Trust Grant. The ENF Gratitude Grant of $2,000.00 went to the Salvation Army of High Point to assist citizens of High Point in need, and the Charitable Trust Grant of $1,000.00 went to Greater High Point Food Alliance to help feed those that are struggling through this pandemic. Also, a big thanks to the DeLuca family for their beautification of our sign at the entry to our property on Old Mill Road. They did a fantastic job with the cleanup and new landscaping around the sign.

The House Committee is in fact working on planning events and will be announcing some upcoming events very soon. We enjoyed the Fish Fry – thanks to Russ Pallaci, Mike Cockerham, John Pascavage, Doug Orcutt and Tim “Gunny” Schuman for all their hard work making a fantastic meal.
