The dog days of summer are behind us, and fall is in the air. Labor Day brought the end of the Pool Season, and it was sad to see that beautiful pool being covered once again. Now it’s time for some football with Thursday night Family Grill Night and Mike’s Famous Wings on Sunday – these events are family friendly so bring the whole gang for great food and a good time! The Lodge is a great place to watch all of the NFL and ACC action no matter what team you root for.
This month we had two great New Member Indoctrinations. Many new members and their guests came out for a great informational and social event. The Ladies Auxiliary also held their monthly meeting with five new members.
It has been announced that North Carolina will be having a Fall State Convention to be held in Myrtle Beach. If you are interested in attending please contact the office and they can get you all the information.
Don’t forget to get involved with 7th Annual Andy Albertson and Steven Hall Memorial Charity Golf Tournament with proceeds benefitting Heart Strides, helping the underprivileged with heart rehabilitation. There are still a few team spots open so come out and support a great cause!
The House Committee and Lodge are still planning events for all of us to enjoy, like Wing Fest, Band Nights, Music Trivia, a Halloween party and more Karaoke. I hope you check out the “Upcoming Events” on the weekly email blast, Facebook, and our website often, as these are the best ways to “be in the know.” Be sure to check out this entire newsletter and our website for all the happenings for October and what we have planned for November and beyond!
