January is in the books and we enjoyed another fun month at the Lodge with New Year’s Day Breakfast, Mikes Famous wings on Sundays, NFL playoff games and PER Steak Night. We also presented the Hearts Strides with their check of $12,000 from the proceeds of our Andy Alberton and Steven Hall Memorial Charity Golf Tournament. Thanks to Deanna Vernon and all of those who helped with that event.

Now is the time to talk to your friends and neighbors about joining our Lodge. Pool season will be here before you know it and you may very well have friends and neighbors who would enjoy a summer at one of the best pools in the Triad. We have a lot to offer families such as our wonderful swim team and a great family atmosphere. We are currently having a membership drive through February that will give away a $50 Elks Gift Card to any current member in good standing who successfully proposes a new member. Also, you the member will be entered to will a free pool membership!

Our Ladies Auxiliary will be having their officer nominations on February 2nd. The meetings start at 6:30 pm in the Lounge. The Ladies Auxiliary does so much to support the Elks Lodge. I encourage all lady members and wives to join and enjoy being part of that special group.

On February 10th, nominations for upcoming officers will be accepted at our monthly Lodge Meeting. If you have someone in mind who would like to serve the Lodge in a leadership capacity, this meeting will provide you that special opportunity to nominate them. Please remember all Members are welcome at all of our meetings, all you need to bring is your signed membership card for admission. The meetings start promptly at 7pm in the upstairs ballroom.
