Cooler weather is here but our Lodge is still busy supporting our members with great events and giving back to our community. In October, we held our first Steak Night of the winter season. We will be doing the Steak Nights the first Friday of each month for the next several months so please join us for food and fellowship. Other events this month included another very successful Andy Albertson and Steven Hall Golf Tournament, which raised funds for High Point’s Tiny House project, a fun Trunk and Treat day for our youth, and we ended the month with a great Halloween Party. Also, Sundays are a full day of NFL games so make sure to check out the new TV and projector in our Lounge.
We gave back to our community by supporting our Veterans with several Welcome Kits for homeless veterans transitioning to permanent housing and attended the Heroes Center 9/11 Dinner. Also, we purchased a large screen TV for the new VA Home in Kernersville that is scheduled to open in January 2022.
The Fall North Carolina Elks Association Convention was held in Atlantic Beach, NC on October 29th through 31st. We had several members representing High Point Lodge at the convention. Grand Exalted Ruler, Keith Mills and his wife, Amy attended the convention, as well. Updates on all the great work being done by Lodges across NC were shared with all attendees. Additionally, there were plenty of opportunities for socializing and networking.
Please be sure to check out all of our Upcoming Events on the weekly e-blast and website.
