Hello Members!

Memorial Day Weekend at the Lodge was a fabulous start to our summer – a beautiful pool to soak away the heat, friends laughing together, and children splashing and diving! Thank you to our lifeguards for watching over us and keeping us safe. Thank you to Pool Committee and concessions stand for easing our hunger and to the Lounge for quenching our thirst.

I hope you were able to enjoy some yummy pancake dinners last month thanks to our Swim Team. With two pancakes loaded with toppings for $5, they were a hit! Join me in wishing our Swim Team luck in their city meets this month, I know they will give it their best!

Our Flag Day Ceremony on June 11th was so well received by everyone around the pool. The children walking the flags to their proper posts was the hit of the event. Thank you to our readers of history; Sean Kirk, T.C., John Harkey, Bob Martin, and Phil & Shari Driscoll – with their help we had a very patriotic and smooth event.

The Ladies Auxiliary cookout was a big hit. The combination of great food and prizes never fails! Thank you to Paige McGlaughlin and her wonderful team for a successful day.

I would be remiss if I did not mention our Lodge Officers working diligently behind the scenes initiating all our incoming members. None of which would be possible without the dedicated stressful work of our Secretary, Shari Driscoll.

Lastly, the Primavera benefit dinner held last month was a huge success thanks to our dedicated Elks members and their families once again showing ‘Elks Care, Elks Share’. As always, thanks to T.C. for your M.C. talents.

The words ‘Thank You’ and our Lodge seem to be synonymous as I am discovering. We have great activities and great members all working towards a common goal of bettering our community and our Lodge.
