Hello Members:
We’ve had a very nice start to the pool season, everyone’s efforts to get our pool, deck, and pool house are very noticeable. If only we could get the weather to cooperate!
Our HP Elks swim team giving its all with every stroke! We wish them well for their City Meet on July 6-8th.
This year with our annual grants from NC Elks and ENF, we are happy to announce the following donations:
– We proudly donated $ 4,000 to the Heroes Center, assisting veterans with housing, finances, and job placement.
– We donated $2,500 to the Collaboration For Children, assisting in daily needs.
– We donated $1,000 to the Tiny house project, helping vets have a home.
On June 18th I had the pleasure of traveling to the town of Linwood, North Carolina to deliver a Welcome Home Kit to a Vietnam Veteran in need of some assistance. High Point Elks goes the extra mile for veterans.
The Veterans Heroes Center is hosting a first-time event at the Congdon yards to assist Veterans with their benefits. They are asking us to assist them. Please see Phil Driscoll, chair of the Veterans Committee if you can help. Any amount of time is appreciated.
