Hello Members:

Thank you to Mike Cockerhan for obtaining new games and music to our lounge, we will certainly take advantage of them all.

The week of July 2nd Shari and Phil Driscoll and myself traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota for the Grand Lodge Convention where Elk members voted on new laws and installed a new Grand Exalted Ruler and District Deputies. All contents of the convention may be viewed on Elks.org. A short report will be addressed at our July 26th meeting.

Thank you, Phil Driscoll, for helping to coordinate Elks volunteers to assist at the Veterans Benefits Live event at Congdon Yards. This great event helped local Veterans network and find immediate assistance with many resources and benefits available to them in our community.

Congratulations to our new District Deputy Toni Deal, Esquire Kathy Hulla and Auditor Richard Golden (ER). They will be visiting our Lodge on October 11th. There will be a District Deputy Clinic at the Greensboro Lodge on August 13th at 10:00 AM. All members are welcome to attend and hear the workings of Elkdom. Please notify the office if you plan on attending. We will hold our next Lodge Meeting on August 23rd at 7:00P.M. Your attendance is encouraged and welcomed.

Any member can sit in on any committee meeting and observe its workings. If you like that committee, ask about joining and make a difference.

Lastly, you will notice two donation boxes in our Lodge lobby this month. We are asking members to donate personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies for Leslie’s House, a women’s homeless shelter in High Point. We appreciate anything you are able to donate.
