Exalted Ruler Letter for June 2024

May is just about in the books, and it has been another outstanding month around the Lodge and in this case around the state. We kicked off the month by having our annual spring convention in Wilmington, we had a great contingent of Elks from High Point there. A great time was had by all. If you have never gone to a state convention, I encourage you to try and attend one. It is a great time, and you get to learn about Elkdom and meet great people from all over the state.

We held a Mother’s Day brunch and performed the Ritual for the Observance of Mother’s Day. We had a great turnout and the day was planned to perfection by our Leading Knight Sean Kirk, well done by Sean and all the officers.

Hustle and bustle was happening everywhere around the Lodge for the opening of the pool on Friday May 24th, and as expected it all came together for an outstanding opening day and weekend. Congratulations, to the pool committee for all hours that went into getting the pool ready for this years season.

June will be another busy month, along with the pool being open. We will hold our annual Flag Day ceremony by the pool on Saturday, June 15th. We are also hoping to hold a special Flag Day ritual for some Veterans in High Point, details to come. Keep your eye on the weekly email blasts from Stewart and our Facebook page for all the events around the Lodge. You don’t want to miss them.

I hope to see you around the Lodge sometime soon.

Please be sure to check out all of our Upcoming Events on the weekly e-blast and website.
