Is July really over? The First Lady and I had the privilege to attend the Elks National Convention in Austin Texas early in July. It was hot! We met a lot of great Elks from around the state, made some new friends, and reconnected with some old ones.
We presented a check from the ENF to Kitchenology a group whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of community by providing food education and training. We help to improve the lives of the people in our community by utilizing grants, the is what we do as Elks.
We celebrated 115 years of Elkdom in High Point on July 15th, there was a proclamation by the mayor at city hall, 115 years of making our community a better place to live by giving back to those in need, that is why we as members of the BPOE are definitely the “Best People on Earth”.
We have another month to enjoy the pool and soak up the sun. Keep an eye on weekly email blasts and our Facebook page, so you don’t miss any of the fun and exciting events at your Lodge.
I hope to see you around the Lodge sometime soon.
Please be sure to check out all of our Upcoming Events on the weekly e-blast and website.
