December was another busy one around the Lodge. I will attempt to highlight all the high points (no pun intended; High Point(s) see what I did there) during the month.
We had our Annual Memorial Service, and we also had our District Deputy visit last month. I am happy to report that all went well with that visit, much of the credit goes to everyone that maintains our Lodge and our grounds. Shari and Karen made sure the office was ready for the DD inspection team. Thank you for all your efforts to make her visit successful.
We held our Hoop Shoot at the YMCA in High Point and had about 25 boys and girls from the ages of 8 to 13. The winners from our local Hoop Shoot move on to advance to the District Hoop Shoot in Winston Salem on January 25th. A huge thank you to all the volunteers that came out to help with the Hoop Shoot!
The very same day, we had breakfast with Santa at the Lodge. Kids got to come into the Lodge and tell Santa exactly what they were hoping to get for Christmas. What a great tradition at our Lodge, thank you to everyone that made it successful.
We also held our Members Only Christmas party. We had a nice dinner, the track was set up and everyone had a great time. If I got this right, TC was the big winner of the night. If you missed it this year, make sure you put it on your calendar for next year.
We turned the calendar to 2025, and we look forward to more great times around the lodge in the new year.
I hope to see you around the Lodge sometime soon!
