September brings the start of the Fall season and begins other outdoor fun at our Lodge! We all enjoyed the Tailgate Party on NFL opening Sunday.

I want to thank Beth Hawks, Shari and Phil Driscoll, and Tom Day for cooking and serving our Veterans in Salisbury barbeque at their annual Fall Festival on September 11th.

The Antlers began their season at the Miracle League on September 20th which is always heartwarming.

The Ladies Auxiliary had their ‘Old Hollywood Night’ which was a lot of fun. Many thanks to Laura Pallaci and all the Ladies for a wonderful time!

Now that the Fall season is in full swing, there are a number of events that are always fun during this time of year!

October 1st is the annual Mel Foster Fundraiser. This is always a great event, so please plan on attending.

There is a band night with Mezza Voce, Family Dining on Thursdays, and the annual ‘Wing Off’ at the end of the month. Please take a look at the website for all the dates and times of the Lodge events!

The Fall State Elks Convention is taking place October 25 – 27. All members are welcomed and encouraged to attend. This year it is being held in Greensboro which should make it much easier for our members to be there.
