What an interesting summer Mother Nature had in store for us in 2013! Normally, we are ready to say goodbye to the ‘dog days of summer’, but I do not think we had any this year!
I would like to thank Tom Day (Chairman) and the Pool Committee (David Labiak, Doug Orcutt, Jason Owen, Nick Tribble, Phil McDonald, Stewart McGlaughlin and Tom Connolly) for all their work this year.
August was another fun month with the Cornhole Tournaments, the August 10th Fish Fry, Club 19 drawing, and the Camp Carefree Charity Ride!
September is an exciting month as well with school and football season beginning. We will have our Labor Day Cookout, the Football Tailgate Party, and we will resume Family Dining on Thursday September 5th which will also be the first NFL game regular season game. Make sure that you visit our website regularly to keep up to date on all the Lodge events!
Our Antlers will once again be involved at the Miracle Field. They assist disabled youngsters play baseball. Please come out and support our Antlers and their team. It is something that will certainly touch your heart!
We will go to Salisbury and cook for the Veterans on September 11th for their Fall Festival. Please contact the Lodge office if you’d like to volunteer.
Finally, our Ladies Auxiliary is having their biggest fundraiser of the year which will be an ‘Old Hollywood Night’. There will be red carpet, dinner, pictures, and certainly a great deal of fun! Please see Laura Pallaci or one of the Ladies Auxiliary members for tickets. I am certain this will be a night to remember!
I hope that everyone enjoyed their summer!
