What a great start to our new Elk year!

I hope that you have received your ‘Calendar of Events’ post card in the mail and that It has a place on your refrigerator as it does on mine! I want to thank John Pascavage and Mike Cockerham, our House Committee Co-Chairmen, for this great idea! You should be receiving the May edition soon! Also remember that these events and announcements are available on our website as well.

I would like to thank DJ and Penny Moore, our House Committee, and all the volunteers that assisted for another very successful Oyster Roast!

I would also like to thank our Antlers, Gary Hutchins, and all the adult advisors that are again helping at the Miracle Field with these very special children. If you have not been to one of these games, I highly recommend it, as these are very heartwarming events.

The month of May is a very busy one as the Lodge Officers will be attending the Spring State Elks Convention on May 3rd-5th.

Some other very important events that need to be mentioned are the High Point Pony League Family Day cookout, Lodge Clean-Up Day, the Swim Team Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, the Mother’s Day Brunch, and the annual Veterans Cook Out. Please take a look at the website for additional information about these events.

Finally, summer is almost here! May 24th is the day that our pool opens. We will have free hot dogs for everyone! If you know of anyone that wants to become a Member, they need to get their application into the Lodge office as soon as possible!
