Hello Members:
We had a very enjoyable New Years Eve Party at the Lodge. Good food & good music to bring in the New Year. Thank you to Vern and the Fairlanes for making the evening enjoyable and to Karen and her team for the wonderful meal.
There will be a few new officers you will be seeing this Elk year. They are very anxious about sharing ideas to make our Lodge more enjoyable. We thank them for their dedication.
On February 25th we will be hosting a statewide leadership training program. This is for upcoming officers, present officers and Committee chairpersons in their roles they will be filling. It is a day of learning and meeting members from across the state. If you are able to assist us, please call the office.
As I am always saying, we would enjoy hearing any new ideas for the new year. The House Committee is such a place to express your desires. Please come and sit through a meeting, as I have, you would be fascinated into how much work goes toward preparing for a month at a time.
Thanks goes out to the P.E.R.’s for approving the purchase of a defibrillator and keeping the safety of our Members a top priority. Any CPR instructor who would like to put on a class please reach out to the house committee, this helps you maintain certification.
On February 16th the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks organization will be turning 155 year old! Happy Birthday everyone!
Congratulations to Joe Smolder and his volunteers for a successful Hoop Shoot tournament. His first event since becoming Hoot Shoot Chairman. Thank you, Shari and Phil, for obtaining Elroy the Elk and a big thank you to Steve Perdue for being Elroy the Elk, the kids really enjoyed seeing you.
