Lisa, 49 was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) better know as Lou Gehrig’s Disease four years ago. When diagnosed she was given 3-5 years to live. There is no cure for ALS. There are no medicines available to treat the disease. ALS is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The main reason for this Golf Tournament is to raise money to pay medical bills and for caregivers to stay with her during the day. I am going to do all I can to make sure she is able to stay at home till the end.
