It’s a new Elk year and almost time for the pool to open! I would like to thank everyone that volunteered for the Spring Fling Carnival and a special “thank you” to Carol Hoover for arranging the volunteers from Southwest High School.

At our last meeting we had our installation of new officers and award ceremony. Special awards went to Linda Camp and MJ Hedrick for New Officers of the Year 2008-2009 and New Elkette of the Year to Shelly Capra and Linda Transou.

Up coming events include a Yard Sale on May 30th from 8:30-1pm. Table rental is $10.00 (may bring additional tables) and we will be selling biscuits, bake goods and drinks. If you are interested in renting a table please RSVP to mjhedrick@triad.rr.com or 442-2334. Our program for our next meeting on May 5th is a Scavenger Hunt and Dinner; please RSVP for dinner to Monica Pallaci at mpallaci@ssgbrandintense.com
